The ’90s pop culture revival shows no signs of slowing, and the decade’s fashions are reflected in this summer's trends.
We’re continuing to see a lot of staples from the ’90s era, but they have a modern feel and updated look. And let's be real-- what would the ’90s be without the slip dress? Stylish images of Carrie Bradshaw and Rachel Green instantly come to mind-- two of my favorite leading ladies of the decade.
I love that the '90s comeback has brought the slip dress center stage. Its delicate, strappy style is an ideal choice when you're feeling flirty and feminine. This blue satin romper gives the same effect of a slip dress, but is a little more comfortable and versatile. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found this romper designed by Timing at Don Me Now for under $50.
While we tend to think of satin pieces as an optimal evening choice, this romper can easily transition from day to night. In this look, I dressed it up for date night with a pair of lace-up wedges. However, you can also wear it with sandals and a denim jacket for a more relaxed look. Going to a beach brunch? Pair it with a longer white kimono for an effortless summertime vibe.
I love that this particular slip romper incorporated my favorite shade of blue along with a floral print. It also features adjustable straps and darts for a figure-flattering fit. For size reference, I'm wearing a small.
I've received a lot of questions about these lace-up demi wedges, which I've worn in a variety of looks. The blush color is the perfect neutral for summer and matches with just about everything in my wardrobe. Not to mention, they're amazingly comfortable. I found these particular ones at T.J. Maxx, but I'm linking a very similar style available on Amazon.
